Amid of apprehensions of defections, all parties were on alert before the floor test to be held on 12th February in Bihar.

The speculations about possible defections started when Rajshree Yadav, wife of former Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav, claimed in a tweet that 17 MLAs of Nitish Kumar's party were missing.

A similar statement was also given by RJD spokesperson Bhai Virendra. The NDA government formed in Bihar on January 28 has to pass the floor test on February 12. Amid claims of 'being played' by opposition parties, the ruling coalition parties are alert and are trying to save their MLAs. The political temperature in Bihar is on the boil regarding 12th February.

Congress, which is part of the Grand Alliance, has already shifted 16 of its 19 MLAs to Hyderabad. The ruling JDU is also keeping an eye on its MLAs. JDU has made it clear that their MLAs are being lured. In such a situation, JDU is doubtful. JDU has called a meeting of the legislature party on February 11 before the floor test.

Sources say that JDU MLAs have been called to Patna. This Saturday afternoon, all the MLAs have also been invited for lunch at the residence of Nitish Kumar's close minister Shravan Kumar. It is being said that here the MLAs will not only enjoy food but a strategy will also be made for the trust vote. BJP, which is part of the government, is also keeping an eye on its MLAs.

During this period, BJP has organized a two-day workshop for MLAs in Bodh Gaya. It is said that Home Minister Amit Shah will also address this workshop organized on Saturday and Sunday virtually. BJP leaders say that this workshop was pre-planned. Jitan Ram Manjhi, chief of Hindustani Awam Morcha, who is part of the government, has made it clear on Friday that he remains with the NDA.

JDU spokesperson Neeraj Kumar taunted and said that RJD is unnecessarily restless, there is no solution to its restlessness. The government will also receive the trust vote on February 12. Let us tell you that 122 MLAs are required for majority in the 243-member Bihar Assembly. The present Nitish government has the support of 128 MLAs.
