There seems to be a Modi undercurrent in Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow: The Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh this year may be an action replay of the BJP performance in the previous Lok Sabha elections in the state. This is the only conclusion one can draw from the trend emerging from two hours of counting .

There was a Modi undercurrent which not all but a few pollsters could notice. Mention may be made in this regard of two surveyors-- Newstrack.com- Apna Bharat and Chanakya.

As it appears now, BSP supremo's gamble has failed to pay off. The SP -Congress alliance made the first time before polls has also failed to click.

It is also noteworthy that the BJP has dominated even in constituencies where Yadav and Muslims had higher percentage of voters.
