Lucknow: Amid the speculations of failure of alliance talks between Samajwadi Party and the Congress, National Vice-President of Samajwadi Party Kiranmoy Nanda on Friday stated that the party would declare its election manifesto on next Monday.

While the air is still not clear about the alliance happening between the two parties, Nanda, however, said that SP has declared its 191 assembly candidates for the first, second and third phase of the upcoming polls and has left 18 seats vacant for the Congress party.

The national Vice-President of the SP said, "We had plan to give 54 seats to Congress. May give 25-30 seats more to the party after discussion which is around 80 or so."

Adding grist to the rumours Nanda said that the Samajwadi Party would fight on more than 300 seats and the number of seats to be given to Congress is subject to adjustment and discussion if the alliance happens.

Samajwadi Party's Rajya Sabha member Naresh Agarwal, however, has tried to set aside rumours regarding the parties not joining hands. The RS member of SP, contradicting Nanda's statement said, "What Kiranmoy Nanda said about Congress alliance is his personal opinion. National President Akhilesh Yadav will take a final decision."

He further stated, "CM Akhilesh Yadav is looking into details of Congress alliance, he will take a final decision. By evening things might be clear."
