New Delhi: CM Gehlot met Congress President Sonia Gandhi in Delhi on Thursday amid the ongoing air regarding the cabinet expansion in Rajasthan. After meeting Sonia Gandhi, Ashok Gehlot told the media that he has left the decision about the cabinet reshuffle to the high command.

Ashok Gehlot meets Sonia Gandhi:

Gehlot said that he has put his views before the party leadership. CM Gehlot said that in relation to Rajasthan, I was inquired, I have briefed, but the decision will be taken by the high command regarding when the reshuffle will happen.

He said that whatever decision will be taken on the basis of mutual talks, it will be accepted by all. Earlier, Ashok Gehlot had a long meeting with party general secretaries Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, KC Venugopal and Ajay Maken on Wednesday to discuss the expansion of the cabinet, political appointments and the political situation in the state.

CM said, 'I have given complete information about Rajasthan to the high command'. Our state in-charge Ajay Maken keeps coming to Rajasthan. I hope that he will talk to the Congress President, hold discussions with former President Rahul Gandhi and based on the conversations that have taken place, the decision will be accepted by all of us. Referring to the victory of Congress in both the seats in the recent assembly by-elections, Gehlot targeted the BJP and said that now BJP is getting clean from Rajasthan.

CM said whether BJP has ever come third-fourth in the by-election. Now BJP's bail has been forfeited. His mouth is locked. It is worth noting that Nagraj Meena of Congress has won the Dhariavad assembly seat, which is a stronghold of the BJP. At the same time, Congress candidate Preeti Shaktawat won from Vallabhnagar assembly seat.

Sachin Pilot also met Venugopal

Former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot had met KC Venugopal on Wednesday ahead of Gehlot's meeting with Congress President and senior leaders. After this meeting, Pilot had bluntly said that the workers forming the Congress government should get participation and this work should be done soon.
