Rapid resign series in Congress: 4 MLAs left in Gujarat after MP

Ahmedabad: The rapid resignations of MLAs in Congress continues. First MLAs in Madhya Pradesh and now MLAs in Gujarat are also resigning from the party. According to the information, four MLAs in Gujarat Congress have resigned from the party. There is a possibility that they may join the BJP soon.

There is a bad news for Congress from Gujarat. Angry over seat sharing in the Rajya Sabha, four Congress MLAs have resigned from the party. It is being told that these MLAs are in touch with BJP. The party members submitted their resignations after meeting with the party president.

These party members resigned:

According to the information, Gujarat Congress MLA Soma Patel, JV Kakadia resigned from the party last night. Soma Patel is an MLA from Limdi, while JV Kakadia is an MLA from Dhari. Both were angry over not sending a member of their community in Rajya Sabha. It is being said that Soma Patel had demanded the Rajya Sabha seat to be given to the Koli community.

Political Equation of Gujarat Legislative Assembly:

Let us tell you that there are currently 180 members in the 182-member Gujarat Legislative Assembly. Here 103 MLAs belong to BJP and 73 MLAs belong to Congress. At the same time, the figure reaches 77 by joining 2 BTP, 1 NCP and 1 Independent MLA among the allies of Congress.

If we talk about the Rajya Sabha elections, the legal process is going on in two seats here. Both parties need 38 votes to win one seat in Rajya Sabha. At the same time, 76 votes are needed to win two seats whereas Congress has less votes. In such a situation, the Congress can lose its seat.
