New Delhi: The verbal spat between Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi and BJP over Mahatma Gandhi’s assassination remark was fuelled further on Thursday with former sticking firmly to its comments against RSS.

Rahul, who blamed RSS for the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi, said that he will continue his struggle against the hateful and divisive agenda of the RSS.

What Rahul Gandhi said?

  • I will fight against the hateful and divisive agenda of RSS.
  • I stand by every single word I said.
  • Rahul, however, had clarified later that he never meant RSS as an organization.

Meanwhile, in its reply to Rahul, the Bharatiya Janata Party retaliated strongly by saying that should the Rahul Gandhi be blamed for all the crimes committed by Congressmen?

BJP spokesperson Srikant Sharma picked up the murder cases of Bhanwari Devi and Naina Sahani in which Congress leaders are involved.

He said, “In such a case, what Rahul Gandhi should be called? A murderer!”
