New Delhi: Today, the festival of Makar Sankranti is being celebrated with great enthusiasm all over the country. From North India to South India, there is a spurt of Makar Sankranti festivals today. Many festivals including Makar Sankranti, Pongal are being celebrated, so in the midst of all this, there is also a program of Jallikattu.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi arrived in Madurai in Tamil Nadu on Thursday morning. Rahul arrived in a private flight from Delhi to Mumbai. Where he will watch the program of Jallikattu. Along with Rahul Gandhi, many Congress leaders are also present.

Rahul Gandhi wishes Happy Pongal to Nation:

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also tweeted on Thursday. He wrote, he is coming to Madurai in Tamil Nadu to celebrate Pongal with everyone. He also wrote another saying – The harvest season is a time of joy and celebration. Happy Makar Sankranti, Pongal, Bihu, Bhogi and Uttarayan! Special prayers and best wishes for our peasant-laborers who are fighting for their rights against powerful forces.

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also congratulated the countrymen on Makar Sankranti, Pongal with Bihu and Bhogi, and wrote: Hearty greetings to all the countrymen on Makar Sankranti, Pongal, Bihu and Bhogi. Amidst the euphoria of these festivals related to crops, my request to God is that justice should be given to the farmers who grow the crops.
