Police registers case against Bajarang Dal for arms training

Faizabad: Taking cognizance of media reports on arms training to Bajarang Dal volunteers, the Faizabad police on Wednesday has registered a case against the Hindu outfit.

“A case has been registered under section 153 (A) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) in the Ayodhya police station. We are investing the case and action will be taken against the guilty,” said senior superintendent of police Mohit Gupta.

Uttar Pradesh Governor defended this:

Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik on Tuesday while talking to media persons in Aligarh of Uttar Pradesh said there was nothing wrong about it.

What DIG says:

Deputy Inspector General Vijay Kumar Garg told newztrack.com, that a notice has been issued to office bearers of the Bajarang Dal that why they did not inform the authorities and sought permission for this event.

What is section 153(A) of IPC

Section 153 (A) of the Indian penal code stands for committing any act which is prejudicial to the maintenance of harmony between different religious, racial, language or regional groups or castes or communities, and which disturbs or is likely to disturb the public tranquillity.
