New Delhi: The meeting of the opposition parties led by Congress President Sonia Gandhi has started. The meeting is taking place through video conferencing. In which the situation of migrant laborers among the Corona virus section and the steps taken by the government to deal with this crisis is being discussed. In addition, changes in labor laws in some states will also be discussed. 22 opposition parties have participated in this meeting.

Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala has informed about the commencement of the meeting. He said by tweeting that discussion has started on Covid-19 and economic epidemic of 22 political parties with similar mentality. The meeting mourned the deaths of Amphan Cyclone in West Bengal and Odisha.

Apart from the plight of migrant workers, those cruelly ignored include the 13 cr families in the bottom half of population - tenant farmers & landless agricultural workers, retrenched workers & employees; shopkeepers & self-employed; 5.8 cr out of the 6.3 crore MSMEs: Sonia Gandhi

Every economist of repute had advised immediate need for a massive fiscal stimulus. PM’s announcement of a grand Rs 20 lakh cr package & FM spelling out its details over next 5 days,have turned out to be a cruel joke: Sonia Gandhi at video conference meeting of 22 opposition parties.

The meeting included former Prime Ministers HD Deve Gowda, Rahul Gandhi, Sharad Pawar, Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Sitaram Yechury and MK Stalin Tejaswi Yadav, Omar Abdullah, N.K.Premachandran, Thirumavalav.
