New Delhi: The matter of lapse in the security of PM Narendra Modi during his visit to Punjab does not seem to cool down. The BJP had raised strong objections to Punjab CM Charanjit Channi sharing information about PM's security with Priyanka Gandhi.

After this, Priyanka Gandhi clarified on this in an interview given to a private channel on Monday. Priyanka said that Narendra Modi is the Prime Minister of the country. We worry about them. Just because I took information from CM Channi about PM Modi's security. There should be no politics on this.

Priyanka Gandhi talks to CM Channi:

After the lapse in PM's security, Punjab CM Charanjit Channi had said that there was no threat to the PM in Punjab. They were completely safe. In this regard, I have spoken to Priyanka Gandhi ji and informed her about the whole matter. The BJP had targeted the Congress and the CM over this statement of Channi.

BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra took a jibe at CM Channi and said, 'Channi sahib, be a little honest, you must have told Priyanka Gandhi that work is done... what you said is done!' That is, what you said is done.

PM Modi Security lapse in Punjab:

Patra hit back at Channi and said that it is unfortunate that Channi told all the things to Priyanka Gandhi in this regard. Along with this, Patra questioned that under what authority Priyanka Gandhi was informed about the security of the PM.

On what basis did a sitting CM give information to Priyanka Gandhi regarding a sensitive issue like PM's security? Why did the CM do this? Is Priyanka Gandhi holding any constitutional position that she was informed about? Who is Priyanka Gandhi who was informed by a Chief Minister?
