New Delhi: One year of removal of Articles 370 and 35A in Jammu and Kashmir is completed. Today is the first anniversary of the end of the special status of the state and the creation of a union territory. There is an atmosphere of celebration in the state.

Today, Jammu and Kashmir has become a state of equal status like other states of India. This solidarity was celebrated in the state today, the tricolor was hoisted in many houses. However, many areas were also converted into cantonments during this period.

Authorities are afraid of Kashmiri leaders:

Former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said that even after a year, the authorities are very afraid of allowing him to carry out any normal political activity. The National Conference (NC) vice-president tweeted that this fear reflects the true state of ground reality in Kashmir. He accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of demonstrating its hypocrisy by allowing its leaders to celebrate the end of the state's special status and ban the leaders of other political parties.

Abdullah said the BJP announced a 15-day celebration on August 5 and did not allow a handful of people to meet in my father's lawn. He said that even after a year, the authorities are afraid to allow us to meet for any normal political activity. This fear speaks of the true situation in Kashmir on the ground reality.

Curfew in Sringar for security:

Police vigil was increased due to sensitivity and the possibility of any kind of law and order deterioration. National Conference President and MP Dr. Farooq Abdullah called a meeting at his residence, due to which the police have shifted Gupakar Road near his residence to the cantonment in view of the curfew. The paths were also sealed.
