New Delhi: Congress affiliated NSUI won the Delhi University Student Union elections on Wednesday. The poll results came as a shocker to ABVP who managed to win the secretary post in the elections.

Rocky Tusheed has been elected as the President of the DU and while NSUI won the Presidential and Vice Presidential posts, ABVP clichéd the Secretary and Joint Secretary posts.

The Congress leaders have flooded the social media with congratulating messages for NUSI, stating that the student group has ended the ABVP's dominance in the polls.

It is to be mentioned that in 2014 and 2015, RSS backed ABVP had won all the four seats.

Counting of votes took place at a community hall near Kingsway Camp amid tight security.

The heated competition was among ABVP's Rajat Choudhary, NSUI's Rocky Tusheed, AISA's Parul Chauhan, independent candidate Raja Choudhury and independent Alka.
