Varanasi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said that people of Kashi celebrated 'Chhoti Diwali' on September 29th, the day Indian Army launched surgical strike at terrorists launch pads across the Line of Control.

Addressing a massive rally at his home constituency here, Modi said that he is proud to be an MP from Varanasi especially after the way people paid tributes our Army Jawans for their gallant show.

What else PM Modi said?

PM Modi, who is on a day long tour in his parliamentary constituency, is scheduled to flag off projects like doubling of railway tracks on busy Allahabad-Varanasi section. He also launched the Urja Ganga, the gas pipeline project which promises to provide pipe cooking gas to residents of the temple town within couple of years.

The 1500 km long gas pipeline project further will cater cooking gas to millions of people in states like Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Odisha.

"In the period of three years, BJP government pledges to provide cooking gas to each and every household," said Modi.

Hitting out at the ruling Samajwadi Party government in UP, the PM said BJP does not believe in just laying the foundation stones but ensure that the projects are also completed. that the real aim behind announcing any scheme is its proper execution and touching lives of people.
