Gurdaspur(Punjab): After facing defeat in three Hindi heartland states, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a public rally in Gurdaspur town on January 3. PM will address his rally at the PUDA ground of Gurdaspur.

He will also scheduled to campaign for the 2019 Lok Sabha polls in 'Taj city' Agra on January 9.

It is to be mentioned that Modi has strategies his moves to “activate” BJP workers and seek support from voters in 2019, by visiting nearly 20 states in just 100 days.

Among these 20 states, West Bengal, Assam and Odisha — together account for 77 Lok Sabha seats, of which the BJP holds just 10, which are to be the key focus areas to touch in his 2019 poll thrust.

In this context, BJP Punjab unit president and Rajya Sabha MP, Shwet Malik said that all the arrangements for PM Modi’s rally have been done.

He said further that this will be a mega rally as PM has done a lot for the benefit of Punjabis and Sikhs. The arrangements have been made by Tiger security.

After Modi’s rally in Gurdaspur for the Lok Sabha elections, soon the election campaign for the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD)-Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) alliance will start in Punjab.

In October 2017, Congress won the Gurdaspur Lok Sabha seat in a by-election. It means in the Lok Sabha, Gurdaspur seat is represented by Punjab Congress President Sunil Jakhar.

After Gurdaspur, PM Modi will go to Jalandhar to inaugurate the 106th session of the Indian Science Congress at the Lovely Professional University (LPU).
