Missed the opportunity to become PM by a whisker, says Mulayam

Lucknow: Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav has no regrets for not becoming the Prime Minister.

Patting himself for the works done during his tenure as Defence minister he said “I missed the position of Prime Minister of India by a whisker but I do not regret. I would have been roaming in SPG security cover if I was elected the PM at that age”.

He was speaking at a function organized in a prominent school in Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh.

What else did he say?

• Only bookish knowledge will not work.
• Students should be given every kind of knowledge.
• He honoured UPSC toppers Graima, Jyoti and Siddharth.
• China backstabbed Nehru and he died due to that shock.
• Former PM Lal Bahadur Shastri also died due to the same reason.
