UP CM contender Manoj Sinha offers prayers at Kaal Bhairav temple
Varanasi: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Manoj Sinha on Saturday paid obeisance at the famous Kaal Bhairav temple here ahead of the announcement of chief minister face of Uttar Pradesh.
Sinha also offered prayers at the Kashi Vishwanath and Sankat Mochan temples in Varanasi.
The Union Minister of Communication (Independent Charge), Sinha, who is tipped to be the front-runner to the post of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, will head for the state capital Lucknow later in the day.
BJP will announce the name of UP CM at 4 pm during the legislature party meeting on Saturday. The oath taking ceremony of the new ruler of the state will be held on Sunday.
Senior party leaders Venkaiah Naidu and Bhupendra Yadav, who have been appointed as the “special observers” for the meeting, have reached Lucknow in the morning.
UP BJP in-charge Om Mathur, state party chief Keshav Prasad Maurya, state general secretary (organisation), Sunil Bansal along with the 324 MLAs will be present in the meeting.
