New Delhi: By-elections are being held in many states along with the assembly elections in Bihar. By-elections are also being held for 28 assembly seats in Madhya Pradesh. Congress has issued ‘Vachan Patra’ for the by-election. The cover of this promissory note excludes photographs of Rahul Gandhi and Digvijaya.
Rahul and Digvijaya Singh not in Vachan Patra:
The Congress’s Vachan Patra’ for the by-election prominently features Indira Gandhi, the head of the State Congress Committee along with Sonia Gandhi’s photo and former Chief Minister Kamal Nath.
In Madhya Pradesh, Congress leader Manak Aggarwal has reminded Rahul Gandhi and Digvijaya Singh of their stature when photographs of Rahul Gandhi and Digvijaya Singh were missing from the Congress’s Vachan Patra.
Controversy over Rahul Gandhi’s picture:
Manak Aggarwal said, “We won the election in Madhya Pradesh in the name of Rahul Gandhi and there is a large number of Digvijaya Singh’s supporters in the state. So his photographs should definitely be there.”
MP Congress releases ‘Vachan Patra’:
At the time of the assembly elections held in Madhya Pradesh in 2018, the Congress Party issued a promissory note. The picture of Rahul Gandhi was prominently featured on its cover. But now they are missing from the Congress’ promissory note in the by-elections for 28 seats and the achievements of the previous government have been put in front of the public through the photo of Kamal Nath.
The Congress has given the slogan of Kamal Nath’s government, Sawa Saal ka Karykaal, Sabhi Janta se Khush haal. The credit for the achievements of the previous government in Madhya Pradesh has been tied to the head of Kamal Nath. Also Kamal Nath is cast in the lead role in the promissory note.
