New Delhi: The Lok Sabha was adjourned till 1400 hours after it witnessed an uproar by opposition parties as Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh stated that the move of demonetisation was taken in national interest. Assuring to incorporate the suggestions given by opposition parties, Rajnath Singh urged the opposition to start the discussion as the ruling government was fully prepared for it.

"I thank the opposition that they never doubted government's motive behind the Demonetisation move," the HM stated. Singh further said, "It is, of course, true that implementation of demonetisation could not take place according to the wishes of the opposition but I assure you that we will try our best to incorporate suggestions by opposition with regard to implementation of the decision."

It may be recalled that Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan had asked the opposition parties to stop fighting over the rule in the house and allowed a 'discussion without any rules' on the issue. The LS speaker had said, "everyone wants to talk about the common people’s pain and if you want discussion right now, I can give permission for a discussion without any rules."

It may be mentioned that that the Upper House of the Parliament was also adjourned till the same time after the ruckus was created there over demonetisation.
