It's ‘premature’ to say Priyanka will be fielded as PM candidate: Prashant

Prashant gave this statement as he feels that Priyanka can counter Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls is a ‘premature’ decision. He further said that Priyanka needs some more years to take responsibility of the Nation.

New Delhi: After Congress president Rahul Gandhi has fielded his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in Uttar pradesh's politics ahead of 2019's Polls it has become the hot topic of political discussion. Many politicians have started to speculated the motif of congress behind this.

In such political conjuncture, the Janata Dal (United) Vice President, Prashant Kishor statement has cleared the haze around this, he said that it will be 'premature' to say Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will be fielded as Congress’ PM candidate.

Prashant gave this statement as he feels that Priyanka can counter Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls is a ‘premature’ decision. He further said that Priyanka needs some more years to take responsibility of the Nation.

Prashant also said that this is the decision of people of the country to decide whether Priyanka is capable of taking the responsibilities.

It is to be mentioned that Prashant has already described Priyanka Gandhi’s entry into active politics as “one of the most awaited entries in Indian politics."

It is to be mentioned that Priyanka Gandhi was appointed as Congress’s General Secretary of eastern Uttar Pradesh, on Wednesday.

Prashant had congratulated Priyanka for her new responsibities via tweet, “One of the most awaited entries in Indian politics is finally here! While people may debate the timing, exact role and position, to me, the real news is that she finally decided to take the plunge! Congratulations and best wishes to Priyanka Gandhi."
