New Delhi: The country is celebrating the 50th anniversary of Vijay Diwas 2021 today. On this occasion, many eminent personalities including Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the countrymen.

Congress is also celebrating Vijay Diwas with great enthusiasm. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said that usually a war lasts for 6 months or a year, but the 1971 war lasted only 13 days and we razed Pakistan.

In the Vijay Samman rally, Rahul Gandhi and the Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress leadership paid a humble tribute to CDS Bipin Rawat and other army officers who were martyred in the helicopter accident by observing a silence of 2 minutes.

Addressing the Vijay Samman rally in Dehradun, Rahul Gandhi said that our army had bowed the head of Pakistan in the 1971 war within just 13 days. Generally a war is fought for about 6 months, 1 or 2 years. It took America 20 years to defeat Afghanistan but India defeated Pakistan in just 13 days because India was united and stood united.

Attacking the Narendra Modi government at the Center, Rahul Gandhi said that a function was organized in Delhi today regarding the Bangladesh war, but there was no mention of Indira Gandhi in that ceremony. The woman who took 32 bullets for this country, her name was not even in the invitation letter because this government is afraid of the truth.

On the occasion of Vijay Diwas, Congress President Smt. Sonia Gandhi said that 1971 was the best year of Indira Gandhi in many ways. When the crisis was brutalized in Dhaka and elsewhere, she immediately understood its impact and swung into action.
