New Delhi: BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma took oath as the Chief Minister of Assam today. At 12 o'clock in the day on Monday at Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra, Governor Jagdish Mukhi administered the oath of Chief Minister and confidentiality to Himanta Biswa Sarma.

CM Biswa took oath as Assam CM:

Apart from Chief Minister Sarma, other ministers are also taking oath. The swearing-in ceremony is also attended by BJP National President JP Nadda and many other senior leaders.

However, the biggest challenge before Himanta Sarma is to control the corona. The cases of corona infection are spreading rapidly in the state, so Chief Minister Sarma will have to control it. Himanta Biswa Sarma is a politician, Sarma's hold is from the state to Delhi. Himanta Biswa Sarma quit the Congress in 2014 after differences with Tarun Gogoi.

JP Nadda also attended the ceremony:

Before the swearing in, Himanta Biswa Sarma took the blessings of Bhagwati. Sarma reached the Kamakhya Temple and Dole Govind Temple and offered prayers. Earlier in the Legislature Party meeting, former Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal put forward Sarma's name, which was agreed by all the MLAs. After that, Sarma met Governor Jagdish Mukhi at Raj Bhavan on Sunday to stake claim to form the government.

Actually, the picture was not getting clear about the post of Chief Minister in the state. Sarma's claim was more than Sonowal's. The party high command had expressed greater confidence in Sarma in the election campaign. In this connection, the BJP leadership called the two leaders to Delhi on Saturday to discuss the issue. Sarma's name was stamped at the legislature party meeting in Guwahati on Sunday. There is a possibility that Sonowal will get a place in the central government.
