Hapless Akhilesh  Yadav turns angry young man over merger issue

Lucknow: Making no efforts to hide his annoyance over merger of mafia turned politico Mukhtar Ansari’s Qaumi Ekta Dal in Samajwadi Party (SP), the sulking Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday cancelled all his engagements to remain confined to his official residence.

The merger announcement was made by senior party leader Shiv Pal Singh Yadav without taking the CM into confidence. An agitated Akhilesh displayed his displeasure to party President Mulayam Singh Yadav who was prompt enough to convene meeting of SP’s Central Parliamentary Board on June 25 next to thrash out the issue.

Meanwhile, irrigation minister and Akhilesh’s uncle Shivpal Singh Yadav rushed to the Chief Minster;s residence to appease him. According to party sources, the decision of merger stands to review and the Borad meeting will finally take a call on this.

Axe falls on Balram Yadav:

The angry UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, sacked secondary education minister Balram Yadav, considered to be a facilitator to the merger of QED in SP. Balram, however, said that he will remain with the party.
