New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Sunday intensified the attack on the BJP government at the Center over three agricultural laws, alleging that the government wanted to snatch the income and future of farmers for the benefit of a few top industrialists of the country.

Praising the government of Bhupesh Baghel of Chhattisgarh, Gandhi said that he was happy that his party’s government in Chhattisgarh and other states It is on the way to help farmers, laborers, small businessmen, youth and women.

Targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi over demonetisation and GST, Gandhi said, "Narendra Modi's government implemented demonetisation and GST and today you can see that India has failed to generate employment." In contrast, the Chhattisgarh government helped the farmers and strengthened the rural economy. The Congress leader said, "We have invested money in the rural economy and Chhattisgarh (during the Corona virus crisis) is not facing any problems which other states are facing."
