Former Madhya Pradesh minister and sitting BJP MLA from Agar Malwa assembly constituency, Manohar Untwal, died of a brain-related ailment on Thursday morning.

Bhopal: Former Madhya Pradesh minister and sitting BJP MLA from Agar Malwa assembly constituency, Manohar Untwal, died of a brain-related ailment on Thursday morning. The 54-year-old was undergoing treatment at Medanta Hospital in Delhi. The declaration statement was given by Hospital authority.

Untwal died during treatment at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram in Haryana, family source said. According to the family sources, Untwal had been suffering from the brain-related ailment since the last few months and was shifted to the hospital in Gurugram recently.

He was elected as an MLA four times and once as an MP from Dewas Lok Sabha constituency in 2014. In the 2014 parliamentary polls, the BJP leader had succeeded in making his Lok Sabha debut, winning from Dewas constituency.

According to sources, The BJP leader will be cremated in his hometown after completing the official formalities of the hospital.
