Former Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Gegong Apang after leaving Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) earlier this week said that the Narendra Modi regime has come to an end and this is the ‘testing time’ for the people of India.

Former Arunachal CM Apang accuses Modi of dividing India

Kolkata: Former Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Gegong Apang after leaving Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) earlier this week said that the Narendra Modi regime has come to an end and this is the ‘testing time’ for the people of India. He also accused PM Modi of dividing the country, here on Saturday.

While addressing West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's 'United India Rally' in Kolkata, Apang said that he was fortunate enough to work under the Prime Ministers like Indira Gandhi and Manmohan Singh.

Apang said that all the previous governments at the Centre believed in federal democracy but the current government does not believe in equality. This is the reason that the Central Government passed the Citizenship Amendment Bill.

It is to be mentioned that Apang served as Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh from 18 January 1980 to 19 January 1999 and again from August 2003 to April 2007. He was the longest-serving Chief Minister of Arunachal.
