Azamgarh: Taking a dig at, Bharatiya Janata Party's member of Parliament Yogi Adityanath over on the lack of power supply in UP remark, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said that he would like to suggest Yogi to touch the wire of electricity so that he will come to know that current passes through it or not.
While addressing a rally in Azamgarh, on Tuesday, Samajwadi Party President said, " There was a time when Babas use to take fire on their hands and they sustained no injuries, I would like to request Babaji of Gorakhpur (Yogi Adityanath) to touch the wire of electricity, he will come to know electricity passes or not."
He further said, on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Ramzan-Diwali remark, that Samajwadi Party supply equal amount of electricity in Ramzan as well as in Diwali.
It may be recalled that on February 19, while addressing a rally in Fatehpur, PM modi had said, “Gaon me kabristan banta hai to shamshaan bhi banna chahiye. Ramzan me bijli aati hai to Diwali me bhi aani chahiye. Bhed bhav nahi hona chahiye (If, land is given for burial grounds in a village, it should be given for cremation ground also. If electricity is supplied during Ramazan, it should be supplied during Diwali also. There should not be discrimination)”.
