UP Polls: Most candidates are uneducated, reveals 1st phase nominations

Meerut: The completion of the first phase of nomination for the Uttar Pradesh assembly polls has enlightened a fact that may depict the true picture of India's political structure.

After the end of the nomination process it has come to light that most of the candidates who have filed the nomination for the upcoming polls have not perused their studies beyond school level. Some of the candidates did not even complete their schooling.

It is a sarcastic reality for the society, which they claim to develop, that the future of the state would go in such hands who did not bother to build up their future.

Here are the names and educational qualification of several candidates who filed their names for the first phase of upcoming assembly polls.

• The 17 assembly elections in UP would be contested among the the candidates who have studied till class 7th and 8th.
• The information regarding the educational profile of the candidate is given in the declaration form filled up by the nominees.
• Some candidates have not even filled up specified column for their educational profile.
