EAM Sushma Swaraj acts smart, comes to help US mother
Dehradun: It took just a tweet for Rosemary Nowak, a United States citizen ,to get medical help to her daughter jailed in Dehradun.
The response was quick from the twitter handle of external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj ensuring her to provide medical assistance and care to her daughter.
The incident:
- Colette Smith, a 17-year-old US citizen is jailed in Dehradun.
- She is suffering from gynaecological and psychological problems.
- The jail authorities took her to hospital on Thursday following instructions from the EAM.
- Smith was arrested on January 14, 2015 from the Indira Gandhi International airport at Delhi in a drug related case.
