Coronavirus: Rahul Gandhi slams Centre over vaccination target

New Delhi: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Friday targeted the central government regarding the corona pandemic. He has said that the government had promised that by the end of 2021, all the people would get both the vaccines, but it could not happen.

Rahul Gandhi targets Centre:

Giving the slogan, he said, 'The country is still away from the vaccine, another jumla shattered.' He has also shared a screenshot of a news related to the third wave. It mentions the third wave.

It is worth noting that Omicron seems to be spreading rapidly in the country. The continuous increase in corona cases has increased the concern of the Government of India and the state governments. Both the central and state governments have started taking precautionary measures regarding this. However, still the increase in cases is going on fast. At present, the total number of Omicron cases in the country has gone up to 1270. Maharashtra and Delhi have the highest number of 450 and 320 cases of Omicron. Out of 1,270 patients of Omicron, 374 patients have recovered.

Death toll from corona across the country is close to 5 lakh

According to the report of the Ministry of Health, there have been 16,764 new cases of corona virus in the last 24 hours. With this, the total number of cases of covid-19 in India has increased to 3,48,38,804. During this 220 people have lost their lives due to Corona.

After these figures, the total number of deaths has gone up to 4,81,080. Along with this, the Ministry of Health has said that the number of people recovering from Corona has also remained better. Under which the recovery rate of patients recovering from corona in the country has been recorded at 98.36 percent.

Talking about vaccination, people were given 66,65,290 doses of vaccine in the last 24 hours. The total vaccination figure is 1,44,54,16,714. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 12,50,837 samples of corona virus were tested in India on Thursday. According to the latest data, a total of 67,78,78,255 sample tests have been done so far.
