New Delhi: Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Sunday launched the party's election campaign for the assembly elections in Assam. He addressed a rally at Shivnagar boarding field in Sivasagar district. During this, he praised former Assam Chief Minister and late Congress leader Tarun Gogoi.

Rahul Gandhi in Assam:

Rahul said that illegal immigration is an issue, but the people of Assam have the ability to solve the issue themselves. Congress leaders, including Rahul, were seen wearing a pot of 'no CAA'.

Rahul said, "Assam united people, before the violence there was no guarantee. That anyone will able to return home from the public meeting or not." Rahuk said to the people of Assam that the country will suffer. if Assam is harmed. CAA will never apply no matter what happens. Targeting the central government, he said, "Let us listen to our two-headed government, the CAA will never be implemented."

Rahul Gandhi comments on CAA:

Congress MP said, 'HAM DO HAMARE DO are running Assam. Go from Assam, set a fire and loot whatever is in Assam. No power in the world can break Assam. Whoever tries to touch the Assam Accord or spread hatred, the Congress Party and the people of Assam will teach them a lesson together. I and all Congress workers will defend the principles of the Assam Accord, we will not withdraw an inch from it. BJP, RSS are trying to divide Assam, Narendra Modi and Amit Shah will not affected after it but Assam and the entire country will face it '
