Congress needs a new leader as Mentor: Senior Party Member
New Delhi: After a letter written by senior leaders, the party has made a big change in the Congress with its leaders for the Parliament before the monsoon session. The Congress on Thursday constituted committees for the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha for smooth functioning and effective coordination in both houses of Parliament.
Kapil Sibal said, “If this letter has reached the people, then they will come to know that it is not an attempt to insult anyone including Gandhi family.” In fact we have so far appreciated the services provided by the leadership.
Our intention is to revive the party: Sibal
Kapil Sibal also wrote a letter to Congress Party President which made stir. Kapil Sibal said, ‘Our intention is to revive the party. We want to be a partner in its revival. This party is our commitment to the Constitution and the legacy of the Congress and is convinced that the Congress needs to cooperate with each other to oppose a government that has ruined the foundation on which the Indian Republic is built.
Gulam Nabi Azad justifies his letter:
Congress parliamentary party leader in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad justified writing the letter, saying that if the people who won the elections in the organization do not lead the Congress, then the party will sit in opposition for the next 50 years. The other senior leader Kapil Sibal has also maintained a stance and says that instead of attacks on his own, the party should conduct a surgical strike against the BJP.
