Political Turmoil: Congress Fund Freeze Sparks Controversy

A fresh breath of life for the Congress Party is expected to be given to it by the assembly elections in the five states of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Goa, and Manipur. Punjab is still in its control, and Congress is making every effort to keep it that way. After years in disarray, the BJP's position in Uttarakhand has deteriorated significantly, with many former BJP officials joining the Congress, thereby ending any possibility of regaining power.

As part of its strategy to obtain power in Uttar Pradesh, the Congress is constructing a distinct route of politics in which it will be tough to achieve power at this time, but it will search for solutions to the existential problems that have been raised. A fresh political narrative has been presented to the public by Priyanka Gandhi, who has adopted the term "Girl I can fight" as her campaign motto. It is in this context that women's discourse has risen to the forefront of politics, rather than religion or caste. This is in response to Congress' belief that it has nothing to do, and as a result, the topic of women has been brought up. Politics, like cricket, is a game of possibilities in which it is impossible to predict when, or which bet will pay off the outcome.

Small experiments may be quite beneficial in many situations. So, although Congress may not gain power in Uttar Pradesh, the task of educating women, who will know how to effect change in the nation in the future years, will continue. The Congress, via its constructive politics, is once again providing the nation with a fresh perspective. Congress will also need to pay close attention to the treatment of an ancient cancer of dissatisfaction and deceit that has afflicted members of Congress for decades.

Leaders of the Congress Party in Uttar Pradesh are resigning from their positions ahead of the elections. R P N Singh, a former member of the Congress Party, has just joined the BJP. By appointing R P N Singh as the SP of Purvanchal, an effort has been made to make up for the potential loss that the BJP would have incurred as a result of Swami Prasad Maurya's elevation to the position of the chief minister.

However, the issue remains as to why RPN Singh, who was appointed by Congress to oversee the Jharkhand polls and was considered close to Rahul Gandhi, took such drastic action. It is not difficult to come up with a response. It is a simple fact that R P N Singh has also decided to join the BJP in order to have a brighter future in the political arena.

If the BJP comes to power in the next several years, they will reap the benefits; if they do not, the prospects of being elected to the Rajya Sabha will still be available for consideration. Apart from that, all of the things, such as nation-building and the advancement of the country, that the leaders who change the parties do on the basis of the BJP's program have grown so stale that they no longer have any fresh flavor. It doesn't matter whether it's RPN Singh or any other leader. Everyone is flocking to the BJP in order to satisfy their own selfish desires and demonstrate that politics is no longer a method of providing social assistance. Even concepts like ideology have lost their significance in today's world. Because when all of the political groups with diametrically opposed views get together to create a government, it should come as no surprise that some of them would desert.

The issue now is whether or not Congress will learn from its disintegration and whether or not severe choices will be made to rebuild the organization from the ground up. To be sure, Rahul Gandhi had publicly said some time ago that individuals who are fearful should be told to leave the country.

However, if Rahul Gandhi needs to be severe even beyond this, he would be forced to overtly take charge of the situation in his own hands. In reality, the most serious issue facing Congress is that the party cannot function properly without the Gandhi family, and if the Gandhi family is in charge, the family would be subjected to claims of dominance and other abuses. In addition, the Gandhi family has been accepting this accusation; but, the powerful team that the loyalists should have at their disposal to defend them has not yet been identified.

A number of the partners that Rahul Gandhi had picked for himself, including Jyotiraditya Scindia and Jitin Prashada, as well as R P N Singh, have recently defected to the Graze movement. Previously, personalities like Sushmita Dev, Ashok Tanwar, and Priyanka Chaturvedi have resigned from the Congress party. In the state of Uttar Pradesh, ten major party figures have defected to other political parties in the span of one month. All of the party's seven MLAs who were elected in 2017 have left the party, with the exception of state president Ajay Kumar Lallu and Congress Legislature Party leader Aradhana Mishra. Some attendees left the celebration because they were unable to get tickets, while others departed despite having obtained tickets. After Ghulam Nabi Azad was awarded the Padma Bhushan, a series of claims and accusations were leveled against him by Congress, which once again revealed its internal turmoil after he received the award.

Similar internal factionalism had erupted in the Congress the previous year, just before the assembly elections, and it had been detrimental to the Congress. This time around, everything is the same. This means that Sonia Gandhi, together with Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi, and the rest of the Congress high command will have to determine what actions they should take in order to prevent the Congress from being harmed once again. The hardworking members of the party must be recognized, and with them comes the danger of undermining the influence of seasoned activists.
