Allahabad: The controversial posters and banners which have appeared in support of young Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Member of Parliament Varun Gandhi has left some party members miffed. A complaint has been made to party president Amit Shah in this regard by BJP MP Shyamacharan Gupta.

Fiery leader Shaturghan Sinha has advocated in Varun Gandhi's favour and said he should be the party face for 2017 Vidhan Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh.

The complaint to the party president was made during the concluding session of the national executive of Bharatiya Janata Party in Allahabad on Monday.

The complaint:

  • The BJP MP alleged that tomatoes and eggs were hurled at his house on the behest of Varun Gandhi.
  • Many other MPs have also complained to the party president.
