UP CM Adityanath meets Shah ahead of Inter-State Council meet

New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met the BJP President Amit Shah ahead of the 11th Standing Committee of the Inter-State Council meeting held here on Sunday

Sources close to the party said that a discussion on new BJP's state President was held between the two leaders as Keshav Prasad Maurya has been elevated as the Deputy Chief Minister of state.

The Inter-State Council meeting was chaired by Home Minister Rajnath Singh and was attended by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley along with 17 Union Ministers. All state chief ministers are expected to attend the event.

Some of the long standing and contentious issues including Centre-State relations on law and order, and financial implications are on the agenda of the ISC committee.
