Allahabad: In an attempt to put party's perspective before the public in the wake of onslaught of expelled BJP leader Dayashankar’s wife Swati Singh, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has planned to hold ‘Sarvjan Sukhaye, Sarvjan Sukhaye’ rallies to reach to the Upper Castes.

Accused of public insult to the wife and minor daughter of Dayashankar at BSP's protest after BJP leader delivered some explicits about BSP supremo Mayawati, the latter has decided to clarify its stand especially before the Upper castes of the state. This is being seen as an earnest step of the party to win back its Upper caste votes which it had pocketed in 2007 assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh through 'social engineering' formula.

A senior party leader said, “BJP is trying to mislead some sections of the society for their benefit. They are playing with the sentiments of some castes by putting our party in bad light and we will justify ourselves in front of the public.”

Rallies schedule:

  • Agra: August 21
  • Azamgarh: August 28
  • Allahabad: September 4
  • Saharanpur: September 11

Kshatriya Mahasabha with BJP:

  • Post Swati’s counter-attack against Mayawati, All-India Kshatriya Mahasabha has come in BJP’s support.
  • Under the headship of Kshatriya Mahasabha leader Kunwar Abhay Gautam, members have given dharna near District Magistrate (DM) office.
  • The organization has asked for the arrest of accused BSP leaders including Naseemuddin.
