Kanpur: Protesting against the Jawaharbagh outrage, Bhartiya Janata Party workers on Monday burnt effigies of the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav in Kanpur of UP.

The angry party workers alleged that the Samajwadi Party at first, sheltered the criminals for political purposes and get them killed when they became trouble for the party.

What else they demanded:

  • The BJP workers, while protesting against the ‘Yadavs’, shouted slogans, asking Akhilesh Yadav for his Uncle Shivpal Yadav's resignation from the party.
  • The protesters also said the Uttar Pradesh government was deliberately trying to avoid the CBI probe to shield Shivpal.
  • They also said that they would continue to protest against the government till the minister would resign.
