Lucknow: In a run up to the Vidhan Sabha election in Uttar Pradesh, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is all set to start the ‘Tiranga Yatra’ and ‘Jara Yaad Karo Kurbani’ campaign from Tuesday.

“Senior party leaders will unfurl the tricolour at all the places which are related to the revolution of independence from August 9 to 23 across India,” informed UP BJP general secretary Vijay Bahadur Pathak.

Party president Amit Shah will hoist the Indian flag at Kakori Shahid Smarak on August 13 in Kakori near Lucknow of Uttar Pradesh, he added.

Besides the party will also stage a protest across the state on August 11 under their campaign—Beti Ke Samman Mein Bhajpa Maidaan Mein, started against absurd remark by Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) men in Lucknow on July 20 last.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari will unfurl the flag in Mugalsarai while Uma Bharti will do it in her parliamentary constituency Jhansi.

Ramvilas Paswan will do it in Akbarpur and Jagat Prasad Nadda in Lucknow.

Chaudhary Virendra Singh in Pratapgarh, Prakash Javdekar in Gorakhpur and Dharmendra Pradhan i Agra.

Piyush Goyal in Nagla Chandrabhan of Mathura and Kiran Rijiju in Kanpur.
