Is Bharatiya Janata Party back to pro-Hindu agenda???

Lucknow: The election of Yogi Adityanath as the leader of BJP Legislature Party has given a clear indication that the Bharatiya Janta Party is back to its pro-Hindu agenda. He is a known Hindu-face in the party and has been always in the news for his controversial statements on the Muslim community.

Let alone others, the Election Commission had too taken notice of his hate-speeches in the recent assembly elections.

Whatever the party may say, the critics of the party will cite it as an example of change in the thinking of the party, particularly of Prime Minister Naredra Modi who had come to power with " Sab Ka Saath Sab Ka Vikash " slogan.

His role in assembly elections especially in the western part of the state where Muslims have larger presence which was largely responsible for better showing of the party could have played a part in his selection.

He had also aggressively campaigned in some other parts and been able to polarise Hindu voters in favour of the BJP.

The leadership of the party, mainly Amit- Modi duo, might have agreed to his name for his contribution to the party's record victory.

In the liberal Hindu circles, however, his election has been taken as a surprise and has caused dismay.

It has tried to make amends by choosing a backward leader and state party chief Keshav Prasad Maurya as his deputy in addition to Dinesh Sharma who is a mayor.
