Lucknow: Political leaders are keeping personal relations apart during voting for the Rajya Sabha election on Saturday. Samajwadi party leaders , Amar Singh and Azam Khan, who are sworn-enemies, have done likewise. The latter voted in the former’s favour as desired by the party.

The Pretty Amar factor

Amar Singh has filed for the nominations from Samajwadi Party (SP) ticket while Preeti is contesting on Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ticket.

“I have blessed Preeti for more prosperous life but I have not blessed her for win,” said Amar Singh in a query on Preeti Mahapatra.

Azam’s Amar Katha:

The firebrand Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Azam Khan reached late for practising his franchise. There were speculations in the media that he may not reach to cast his vote.

“Who is a bigger goon that him. He does what he wishes and gets the report made after fetching it from the fridge,” said Azam in a query over the allegation of Guddu Pandit on Shivpal Singh Yadav.

He was referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the latest forensic report in the Dadri lynching incident.
