New Delhi: The BJP has announced its candidates for the assembly elections to be held in five states in March-April. BJP general secretary Arun Singh said on Sunday that the BJP is fighting as an NDA ally in Tamil Nadu and we will contest 20 seats in the state.

Tamil Nadu Assembly:

BJP releases list of 17 candidates for Tamil Nadu Assembly elections; Kushboo Sundar to contest from Thousand Lights and state party chief L Murugan from Dharampur (SC) seats.

Assembly Elections 2021:

State President L Murugan will be in the electoral fray from Dharapuram. Senior leader H Raja will contest from Karaikudi. He said that in Kerala BJP will contest 115 seats while 25 seats are left for 4 parties. Kerala BJP chief K Surendran will contest from two seats Manjeshwar of Kasargod and Konni seats of Pathanamthitta.

E Sreedharan will contest from Palakkad:

Singh said that E Sreedharan will contest from Palakkad seat in Kerala and former BJP chief Kummanam Rajasekharan Nemom seat in the state. BJP has announced the names of 27 candidates for the third phase of Bengal and 38 candidates for the fourth phase.

BJP general secretary Arun Singh said that four Lok Sabha MPs will also contest the West Bengal assembly elections. While Lok Sabha MP Babul Supriya will contest from Chanditara seat in Bengal, BJP MP Nishith Pramanik has been given a ticket from Dinhata seat.

Apart from this, MP Lockett Chatterjee will be in the election field from Chunchuda seat. BJP's Rajya Sabha MP Swapan Das Gupta will contest from Tarakeswar seat. Apart from these, economist Ashok Lahiri will be contesting from Alidwarpur seat, while Rajib Banerjee will be from Domjur, Rabindranath Bhattacharya will contest from Singur.

West Bengal:

BJP releases a list of 27 candidates for 3rd phase and a list of 36 candidates for 4th phase of elections in West Bengal

Assam Assembly:

Arun Singh said that in Assam, BJP will contest elections in 92 seats, while in other seats alliance partner parties will field their candidates. The BJP released a list of 17 candidates for the third phase of Assam elections. Chandramohan Patwari will contest from Dharmapur seat.
