"Assam won't be ruled by chaddi walas," RaGa hits out at BJP, RSS

Guwahati: Taking a shot at RSS and BJP during Congress's pan-India flag march on its foundation day, Rahul Gandhi said "Assam won't be ruled by chaddi walas,"It will be ruled by the people of Assam." The statement came when the congress leader was addressing a massive rally in the state.

On Saturday, marking its 135th foundation day, Congress has held flag marches in many states to convey its "Save Constitution-Save India" message to the masses amid wide protests against centre's 'discriminatory' Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) across the country.

The country is burning under anti-CAA, NRC protests for last few weeks, where at dozens have lost their lives while hundreds have been injured and thousands of the protesters have been detained by the police for staging the protest.

Objecting the 'discriminatory act', anti-CAA protest rallies rocked Delhi, Mumbai and Assam where nearly 350 protesters were detained alone from outside UP Bhawan in the national capital. In Uttar Pradesh, at least 1,100 protesters have been detained to curb protest also mobile internet services were suspended on Thursday night for 24 hours ahead of Friday prayers to stop people from spreading news and messages.
