Assam Elections 2021: AIUDF Chief Badruddin Ajmal says 'BJP is a communal Party'

New Delhi: Political agitation has also intensified in the state regarding Assam assembly elections. During the election campaign, opposition parties are trying to capitalize on this sensitive issue like the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), as well as making it the main electoral issue. AIUDF chief Badruddin Ajmal today targeted the BJP government in a statement saying that 'CAA is a big issue for us, we will fight against it and end it'.

Badruddin Ajmal slams BJP:

On the question of seat sharing between the Bodoland Democratic Front (BDF), Congress and AIUDF, Badruddin Ajmal said, "Seat sharing in our alliance is not an issue as our main goal is to ensure BJP's departure from Assam.

The biggest issue for us is CAA, farmers, tea garden laborers and floods. We will fight against CAA and will keep it abolished. If our coalition comes to power, we will ensure that the problem of de-voter in the state is eliminated. ”

We will fight against CAA:

The reason for making CAA a big electoral issue is that opposition parties are seeing increasing difficulties of the ruling BJP through CAA. In fact, in the year 2019-20, there was a lot of protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act in the upper districts of Assam.

The sections of Assam that have been living in the state for decades are very angry because of CAA. In Assam, the student organizations AASU, AJYCP and Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti are campaigning against CAA. In view of this, efforts are being made to assuage the feelings of the people. Due to this, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also announced in Tezpur, Assam that if the Congress comes to power, it will not implement CAA.
