Gorakhpur: Equating Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) student union president Kanhaiya Kumar with Mohammad Ali Jinnah, the firebrand Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) leader and Member of Parliament from Gorakhpur constituency, Yogi Adityanath on Saturday said “We will never let any Jinnah born in JNU as well as in other institutions of the country."

Yogi, a noted right wing leader known for his controversial statements, made a scathing attack on Kanhaiya saying if any Jinnah was born, he would be driven to an early grave.

He said Kanhaiya was out on an interim bail which he should not be so proud of. The intelligence agencies were still doing their job and the Central Government was never going to spare a renegade like Kanhaiya.”

  • Yogi Adityanath said that the environment of JNU is contaminating the environment of the whole country.
  • He said that the freedom of speech does not mean that a person would talk anti-nationalist.
  • According to Adityanath, intelligence agencies are consistently working on Kanhaiya's case and he will be punished soon.
