While addressing a press conference at BJP headquarters in the national capital, he said,"those who are speaking against the Centre's decision should come on a public platform and express their views with a proper explanation."

It may be recalled that two prominent political leaders Mayawati and Mulayam Singh Yadav had said earlier that the decision of Modi government was an undeclared financial emergency.

What else the leader said:

  • Modi government's decision has made some political parties poorer.
  • To all those who consider it a financial emergency are supporters of black money holders.
  • Demonetisation is financial emergency for Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP).
  • BJP has no illegal money we file returns with EC and IT regularly.
  • The party is ready for any enquiry by income tax department and election commission.
  • All political parties should take up this issue and contest the upcoming assembly elections.
  • Interests of small businessmen, farmers & labourers would be protected.
  • The government and BJP both regret and apologise for the inconvenience to the common man but the step was necessary.
