All is well within the Samajwadi Party: Shivpal Singh Yadav
Lucknow: Asserting there is all well within Samajwadi Party family over the merger of Quami Ekta Dal into the party on Tuesday, the senior party leader Shivpal Singh Yadav said that the merger decision was taken at the behest of the party president Mulayam Singh Yadav.
Seeking to downplay much-reported annoyance of chief minister Akhilesh Yadav over the party’s decision, he said on Wednesday the party had truly inner democratic structure and everyone was free to his opinion. “The party is not divided on this issue and all reports in this regard are baseless,’’ He added.
The Party general secretary, however, was non-committal on if the decision was taken against the wishes of UP CM and said everyone in the party respected the decision of party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav.
It may be recalled that Akhilesh Yadav had made no efforts to hide his displeasure over the decision to merge Mafia-turned politician Mukhatar Ansari’s QED into SP. It has even prompted Mulayam to convene meeting of the Central Parliamentary Board on June 25 next to thrash out the issue.
