This tour is seen as support to Khan and his son, who have been entangle in controversies from past few months. Multiple cases have been registered against Khan, including land grabbing and criminal menacing.
A case against his wife has been also filed as well as on his two sons for allegedly encroaching upon government land in Rampur.

While addressing a press conference in Lucknow on Wednesday, Akhilesh Yadav announced his visit to the two cities.
According to the sources Akhilesh Yadav has bored towards Rampur.
