New Delhi: Launching yet another vitriolic attack on Aamr Singh, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said the former wanted to become the CM. "I would have chucked him out of the party had I remained the state party president," said Akhilesh.

The remark of UP CM evoked a peel of laughter at the gathering on the occasion of a leadership summit organized by a leading English daily.

He minced no words while lambasting Amar Singh for his role in the recent power struggle within the family. To a pointed question, Akhilesh said he would have suggested him to expel from the party if he were in such position.

Akhilesh Yadav on alliance:

Speaking over a possible alliance with Congress, especially after couple of meetings of him and Mulayam Singh with Poll Strategist Prashant Kishor, Akhilesh said that the final decision is in the hands of SP chief.

He, however, ruled out any tie-ups with the Mayawati-led Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and said that memorials of her corruption are still standing all over in Uttar Pradesh.
