Akhilesh Yadav can do anything for the throne: Amar Singh
New Delhi: Lashing out at the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, former Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh on Friday said that the former is ready to go to any extent for the throne of Uttar Pradesh, be it accepting support from his biggest rivals or snatching power from his father Mulayam Singh Yadav.
"Akhilesh is in no mood to let go the throne. This is the situation of frustration and instability," he added, during an interview with a leading news channel.
"Akhilesh is proving himself as a selfish leader as at first he took the support of the corrupt Congress and now he is planning to constitute an alliance with Samajwadi Party's biggest rival Mayawati. He could do anything for the throne," said Amar Singh, describing the situation as 'ridiculous'.
Training guns at Akhilesh, Amar said he must not forget that Guest House case between SP patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav and Mayawati is still on in the Supreme Court.
Amar, when asked about the chances of BJP-BSP forming coalition government, he said, "They have done so thrice in the past. So, the possibility cannot be ruled out."
It could be mentioned here that March 11 will decide the fate of the political parties in Uttar Pradesh.
