Akhilesh, his supporters have crossed limit of insult: Amar Singh

New Delhi: Senior Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh on Monday met party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav to complain about the insult he is facing from his son Akhilesh Yadav and his supporters.

He told Mulayam Singh Yadav that the insult had crossed the limit of tolerance, reported the sources.

"I am not intending to hurt him, but the level of insult has crossed the limit of my tolerance," said Singh.

"My heart is flooded with pain. I will talk to Mulayam Singh ji, as he was the one who stood by my side against his son publicly," Singh said, referring to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.

On being asked if he was going to resign, he claimed that he never want to do anything that hurts Mulayam.

"I'll abide by his decision," he said.

Akhilesh has always strongly opposed Amar Singh, who happens to be very close to his father Mulayam Singh. The UP CM even opposed his return to the SP earlier in 2016.

Last month, Samajwadi Party had turned into a war front with Akhilesh being on one side and his father Mulayam Singh and Shivpal Singh Yadav on the other. The spat had taken place apparently over some unnamed people who shared close bonding with Mulayam.

It is said that the unnamed people were Amar Singh and some bureaucrats who came into power due to their allegiance with him.

Singh, however, refrained himself from uttering a word over the issue.
