New Delhi: A few days before the West Bengal Assembly Elections, actress Shrabanti Chatterjee, who joined the Bharatiya Janta Party, said that the BJP should get a chance in the state. Chatterjee said that the Left party ruled Bengal for 34 years and the TMC ruled for 10 years. There has not been as much development in Bengal as it should have been.

BJP should get a chance: Sranbanti Chatterjee

I want that our Bangla should be developed. For this, I wish the BJP should get a chance. She said that I have worked on the screen for years and people have appreciated me and have given me a lot of love as well. I want to work for the people on the land and want to do something good for the people of Bengal.

BJP''s ideology affects me:

On the question of getting offers to join Trinamool Congress, Chatterjee said that I never received any offer from TMC. Yes, I respect Didi (Mamta Banerjee). I have also been on a stage with Didi. I have gone to the campaign with her. But the BJP's ideology affects me. PM Modi's vision impresses me a lot.

Let me tell you that in West Bengal, the Bharatiya Janata Party has claimed to win more than 200 seats. In the last few days, many leaders of the Trinamool Congress have joined the BJP. In such a situation, Mamta Banerjee is also careful in the selection of candidates.

Let me tell you that many leaders of the party are joining the BJP, giving a blow to Mamata Banerjee before the elections. Three Asansol councilors, along with the Legislative Mayor in Council Debashish Jana, have said goodbye to the party on Wednesday. Earlier, two-time party MLA from Pandeybeshwar in West Bardhaman district and former Asansol Mayor Jitendra Tiwari joined the BJP on Tuesday.
